Article II. AFFORDABLE HOUSING—LOCAL HOUSING PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) |
§ 32-26. Contents and adoption of the affordable housing incentive plan.
(a)
Within 90 days after the date of the receipt of the affordable housing incentive recommendations from the affordable housing advisory committee, the board of county commissioners shall adopt the affordable housing incentive plan. The affordable housing incentive plan shall consist of the adoption of specific initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing and a schedule for implementation and must include, at a minimum:
(1)
A schedule for implementation of expedited permit processing for affordable housing projects; and
(2)
An ongoing process for review of local policies, ordinances, regulations, and comprehensive plan provisions that significantly impact the cost of housing.
(b)
Upon adoption of the affordable housing incentive plan the board of county commissioners shall so notify the state housing finance corporation by certified mail. The notice shall include a copy of the approved affordable housing incentive plan.
